Established in 2005, Matthew Grace Architecture is a design intensive practice predominately focusing on custom residential works & boutique commercial projects throughout Australia.

The practice draws direction from a collection of project specific variables including, context, genius loci, geographical amenity, programme & brief. It is through rigorous investigation & the consequent understanding of the symbiotic relationships of each element that ultimately determines the architectural direction of each project.
The work of MGA is rational, functional & pragmatic. Through the refined use of light, materiality, movement & spatial arrangement, the inhabitants are provided with ever changing spaces and multisensory experiences.

Encompassing ecologically sustainable design principles (ESD), MGA is committed to creating buildings that draw from & respond sympathetically to their environment. Such buildings are created through the use of passive design techniques and the implementation of sustainable building systems.

Professional services include architecture, town planning, master planning, Interior design & fit-out, custom furniture design as well as contract administration, project management & construction.

In addition to the architectural design services provided by MGA, the physical construction of the projects are undertaken personally by Matthew Grace through his building company resPOD Construction.

Providing both the design & construction services, Clients take solace in the advantage of having a single point of contact from the initial conceptual sketches through to hand over of the completed dwelling. Such distinct benefits also include budgetary considerations throughout the design process & a specific attention to detail.

resPOD Construction has already received national recognition with a number of awards for the Hurstbridge Houses completed in 2012 & sustainable  architecture commendations for the Kyneton House at the  in 2014.
